Founded in 1972, Chinmaya Mission Vancouver is one of the hundreds of Chinmaya Mission centres located around the world. Established by devotees of His Holiness, Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, the Chinmaya Mission is dedicated to sharing the ancient wisdom and knowledge of Advaita Vedanta to individuals of any background and promoting service to society through spiritual classes, events, and community projects.
We host numerous satsangs, spiritual discourses, jnana yajnas, and camps throughout the year for all ages, conducted by our resident or visiting teachers.

Our weekly spiritual classes and discussions study some of Hinduism’s foundational texts like the Bhagavad Gita, various Upanishads, and other books written by spiritual masters.
These classes for children of all ages feature activities, lessons, and stories to help children understand Hindu culture and philosophy.
For university students and young adults, Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK) classes draw from the scriptures to give them the tools and values to navigate their transition into adulthood.
The Chinmaya Vancouver bookstore makes it easy to buy spiritual texts and books from the Central Chinmaya Trust. Browse our current catalogue or place your order by getting in touch.
As a registered non-profit organization in British Columbia, all of the Mission’s activities are supported by the donations of members and the local community. Make a tax-deductible donation today!
