Class Overview

The aim of the Adult Classes is to create a forum for like-minded, spiritually curious, and engaged seekers to discuss the textbooks of Vedanta.

Covering a wide range of topics and scriptures, these classes take an in-depth look at foundational texts and commentaries such as the Bhagavad Gita, various Upanishads, Prakrana Granthas (teaching manuals), and other works by the Spiritual Masters and Gurus through the ages.

Setting aside blind belief, students in the Adult Classes analyze the scriptures in give-and-take discussions, deepening their personal understanding. Through honest questioning and passionate practice, the ideals expounded upon in these classes can help one lead a more fulfilling and positive life.

Jaya Muzumdar

Adult Class

Inspired by Swami Tejomayanandaji's discourse on Chapter 12 of the Bhagwad Geeta Jaya Muzumdar joined the Chinmaya Mission, Vancouver in 1988. Having successfully completed the course by the grace and blessings of Pujya Swami Tejomayanandaji, she returned to Vancouver and continues to teach classes for both the Chinmaya Mission Vancouver and the Chinmaya Mission Calgary.
