Fundamentals of Vedanta (In Person)
NOTE: This class is offered in-person at Lord Kelvin Elementary School in New Westminster and is held at the same time as Bala Vihar Classes. Parents of Bala Vihar children are strongly encouraged to join, but the class is open to all! Class starts at 10:30am; please arrive promptly before this time as entry doors to the school will be locked after 10:30am.
Vedanta, the essential core of Hinduism, is the universal science of life relevant to all people of all backgrounds and faiths. This ageless and timeless wisdom has been passed down through the ancient lineage of the guru-shishya parampara (the Vedic teacher-student tradition), providing the contemporary tools to realize the wisdom in one’s life.
This class will cover foundational concepts and texts recommended for the study of vedanta. It is open to all who wish to begin their spiritual studies or brush up on fundamental concepts useful for other classes.
